GGMMMU ~ Shifters for me and shifters for you, what would you like to see them turn into?

SHAPE-SHIFTER: One that seems able to change form or identity at will; especially: a mythical figure that can assume different forms (as of animals)

The following shifter books are all about phoenix! I didn't realize that they were becoming so popular.  I haven't read any of these yet but they are all on my list.

I have a huge list of books to share but the computer doesn't seem to want to upload the picts. :-(

So instead how about you give me a suggestion!
I am very sorry for the late posts. I am trying to get to the bottom of the issue and fix it but so far no luck. :-(

In addition to this post, there are two shifter interviews today. :-) Did you check them out?

What animal would you like to see as a shifter?

The following giveaway is being sponsored by Author J.C. McKenzie. She is wonderful, talented, friendly and very giving . Be sure to say thank you to her, please!

    1. Great suggestion, Miki! I totally second a Kate Daniels recommendation. I also recommend Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series (I also love her Alpha & Omega series), Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock series (although she's a skin walker, not a shifter), and Thea Harrison's Elder Races series (the first book is the best, IMO)

    1. Excellent answer! When I did research on hybrids, I found there were a lot more than I thought--ligers, tigons, and more! As a biologist, I find it fascinating! As a writer, I find it thought provoking.

  3. I think some of the smaller animals would be cool as shifters. Squirrels, bobcats, cougars animals like that.

  4. Hm.. pretty much any animal that hasn't been done would be cool. Like an elephant or even a horse. Granted it be weird with the whole size issue on the elephant but a person shifting into a wolf is really no different. ;p

    1. I agree. It's hard to find a fresh angle sometimes in the PNR/UF genre. Even if you haven't read all the books in existence and "think" you did something new, turns out so-and-so already did it! :-)

  10. One series I actully mentioned on another question was The Feral Warriors Series and I loved the way that series covered alot of different animals, so it all tied in together, so I would love to see more series like that , so in general any animals, but just more of a mix in one series. like a tiger, lion, badger, what ever just a bunch of animals in one series, I love shifter books
