GGMMMU ~ Beings with unexplained powers or unique abilities

We are beginning our celebration of all things supernatural with beings that don't fit into any certain mold. :D These are not witches, werewolves, vampires, fairies, Gods, shifters, angels,  demons....... Most often these other creatures are in the story though.

Forgive me if I feature some of the same books as last year but I have some series and authors that I favor and I can't pass up any chance to remind you of them. :-)

Also, don't forget to check out all of the GGMMMU posts for today! In addition to this one and the kick off post, there is an  author interview as well!

 su·per·nat·u·ral (so͞opərˈnaCH(ə)rəl/)

adjective: supernatural
1.
(of a manifestation or event) attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature.
"a supernatural being"

2. departing from what is usual or normal especially so as to appear to transcend the laws of nature

par·a·nor·mal (perəˈnôrm(ə)l/)
adjective: paranormal
1. things that can not readily be explained by "the range of normal experience or scientific explanation."

2. denoting events or phenomena such as telekinesis or clairvoyance that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding

Here are some of the books that I have found that offer unique beings. Many of them I have read. The others are on my wish/TBR list.  Do you have any suggestions that I haven't recommended?

  2. I can't say that I've read any from that list yet. I own a few but you know I'm behind on reading like everything.
Like Miki said Nalini Singh is really good. Or I really liked Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker series. Those are really good.

  4. My favorite unique ability to read about is time travel. I think it would be fascinating to visit other time periods.
One recommendation for unusual supernatural beings is the Sentinels of New Orleans series by Suzanne Johnson. Some of her characters are the "historical undead". Pirate Jean Lafitte is my favorite.
