Review ~ Dimitri by Kym Grosso with a giveaway

Synopsis

An erotic paranormal romance…

Dimitri LeBlanc, sexy and charismatic beta of Acadian Wolves, survives a brutal attack after his wolf succumbs to a dark force, threatening his very existence. Waking up, tied to a bed, his amusement transforms into lust as a beautiful stranger heals his beast. Intrigued by his mysterious savior, the tables quickly turn, when in the heat of a dark desert night, he rescues her from a barbaric Alpha. Dimitri is inexplicably drawn to the alluring woman, and the discovery that she’s his mate rouses his hunger to claim her as his own.

Gillian Michel, a New York City photographer, conceals a secret hybrid past and mystical abilities. An entire lifetime, she’s deliberately avoided wolves, but a seductive encounter with an irresistible beta leaves her craving his touch, his lips on hers. Passion ignites her desire, leaving her yearning to submit to the powerful wolf who tests her sexual limits.

Deep in the heart of New Orleans, Dimitri and Gillian seek a cure to the parasite maligning his mighty beast. Still on the run from a malevolent force, they lure their enemy into the bayou. Will Gillian sacrifice her gifts to save the man she loves, destroying her own immortality? And will Dimitri eradicate the evil that has invaded his soul while protecting his mate from an adversary who threatens to kill them both?

My Thoughts:

This is book six in the Immortals of New Orleans series. Dimitri is a great option for someone who hasn't already read the other books in this series. It would work great as a stand alone, though, I would still recommend reading the other books first because each of the books that I have read have been beyond awesome. :-)

Dimitri is battling an evil force that is slowly killing his wolf. He is on the beach trying to figure out what is wrong when he gets attacked by a gang of wolves. He tries to shift and can't. Enter Gillian, our heroine. She saves the day and then partially heals him.

She is leery of wolves in general but feels compelled to help Dimitri because she thinks that it was her fault that he was attacked.

Dimitri wakes up feeling pretty good, tied to a bed with a strange woman rubbing up against him. There are worse ways to wake. ;-)

The attraction, flirting, and chemistry begins right away with these two. Gillian is used to relying on herself. She is independent, fierce, smart, witty, and an enigma.

Dimitri is an Alpha in a Beta's clothes. He is domineering, charismatic, loyal, tough and did I mention sexy? He doesn't know what she is or what she's hiding but he is determined to help get her out of the trouble that she's in. He follows her and rescues her from a sadistic, psychotic alpha.

There is sooooooo much adventure, action, suspense (Kym keeps us on our toes), lust and scorching hot scenes including a menage with one woman and two men, some romance and more plot than any book has a right to claim. :-)

I could not put it down or stop reading. It was just that good. The pace was perfect, the length was just right for the amount of story, and the plot just did not stop. It started out strong and exciting and kept me enthralled until the last word. Now the spell should have been broken but I am still thinking about these characters especially Nick and Jax and what happened at the end.

I can not wait to read Jax's book! It can't come soon enough.

I truly love Kym's writing style. She packs her books with interesting characters, sexy scenes, and lots of action and intrigue. I don't know if I will ever get enough and I certainly hope that she never quits writing!

I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I thought it was marvelous. If you like paranormal creatures such as shifters, werewolves, and witches you don't want to miss this book or series.

    1. There is no need to fear any of her books. She has a writing style that is all her own and even when she writes menages, she does them in a way that will not have you running into the streets but embracing the characters instead. ;-)
