Day 7's GGMMMU challenge will involve Angels and Demons. Which one is which? You'll have to figure out on your own. ;-)
I personally haven't read very many of these. I really have a hard time relating to Angels in any way other than being a messenger from God, so to think of them as sexy just seems so taboo to me. I've read a few though. :-) I've added quite a few to my TBR list too, and I had a hard time stopping myself from adding more to the pictures below. Who knew there were so many of these books?
Here is the Link to the main GGMMMU Rafflecopter. There you'll find today's challenge questions. :-)

ReplyDeleteKresley Cole has two rage demon heroes in her novels Dark Desires after Dusk and Kiss of a Demon King.
I admit that sometimes also my upbringing make me hesitate to take a book with one or another but now mostly it depends how they are described because after all yes they are messenger but also some of them are described like fighter so i manage.... surprisingly i also have difficulties to consider all "demon" bad.... perhaps because we are too quick to brand something we fear as demon without really knownledge or understanding? and human can be so cruel too^^ ( now also on a pure basic methaphoric view i could pity Lucifer.... after all he is doing what God asked him too to keep the balance and everyone is against him etc while he is perhaps one of his most dedicated angel ( i wouldn't like to become teh target of all the hate etc even for someone i admire).... so its really depend how they are depicted
ReplyDeleteyou could add to your list for demon: the seria by Diana Rowland
for angels you have the series by linda poitevoin ( sadly first 2 exist in print the rest will be only digital)
From you list i have read two city of bones and hex hall but i have another one or two ( one i have but will receive later thank to amber)
I read City of Bones 2 years ago. The ending was interesting, but the rest of the book could have used some editing for pacing.
ReplyDeleteLarissa Ione has a demon series that gets a lot of hype.
I love the Strange Angels series! City of Bones was good and I read Demon Glass or one of the ones in that series? Its easier for me to read about demons and than it is for angels. I'm with you on it seems really taboo.
ReplyDelete^^ once again we share a lot^^
Deletei haven't read the strange angels series i was told it was sad^^
Yes and no. I havent read the last one in it so I dont know what happened but it seemed a little like the show Supernatural to me. I really enjoyed it.
DeleteThanks for the giveaway! I have read a lot of those Angel books. Unearthly is one of my favorites. <3

One book that I love that wasn't mentioned is "A Shimmer of Angels" by Lisa M. Basso.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
I only read City of Bones. Probably because usually I don't really like angel books. There are some good out there, sure, and City of Bones isn't really just about angels.
ReplyDeleteA book I can recommend is Halo by Alexandra Adornetto. Love that series!
Thanks for the giveaway!
You never mentioned my favourite angel series. I have read 121 books so far this year and Hush Hush by Becca Fritzpatrick is still my number one favourite.
ReplyDeleteI adored Hush Hush! I need to read the rest in that series.
DeleteI love The Mortal Instruments series and I love the Fallen series by Lauren Kate.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
