Review of Perfect Chaos by Nashoda Rose with a giveaway

Georgie

I lie to survive.

Have since I was sixteen and my world fell into chaos. But I found a way to endure, or rather it found me. Now I’m a prisoner of my own doing, hiding behind a false mask so no one sees the truth. Not even the man I want but can’t have—Deck. But I messed up and the lies are spilling over, out of control.

Deck is unrelenting and will settle for nothing less than the truth. He demands everything from me—EVERYTHING—even if it rips me apart.

DECK

I kill for a living.

Unyielding—It’s how I survive in my line of work. I bend people to my will…except Georgie.

But that ends now.

I've played her game for far too long, but not anymore. Now I think it's time we play mine.

*18+ due to sexual content, strong language and violence.

My Thoughts:

Some of you will remember me saying that there was a book awhile back that I was waiting for but I couldn't remember which series or author it belonged to. This was it!!!!

When I seen the author's name I just knew that I had to read it. After the first couple of pages, I was sure that I had found it. :-)

This is the first book in a spin off series from the Tear Asunder series. You can read my thoughts on Overwhelmed By You here.

Perfect Chaos was a very fitting name for many reasons. First of all Georgie is referred to as Chaos sometimes. Second, her life is very chaotic in many ways, I'll let you find the other reason out for yourself. ;-)

We met Georgie and Deck in the Tear Asunder series but they are the focus in this book!

We started the book by going backwards and then to present day. It gave us a glimpse of what happened to Georgie and why Deck acts the way he does with her.

It is dual POV which I enjoyed. I love reading what goes on in the Alpha male's head. ;-) Deck could never be considered anything but Alpha.

Georgie and Deck are one of those couples that have a deep love for each other but each has a reason why the can't be together. It is both exciting and amusing but also frustrating as hell at times.

There was plenty of sexy scenes, lots of wanting and not having, jealousy (loved it!), danger, secrets, agendas, angst, some dark moments for the heroine in which she is willingly tortured, and a love that seemingly endures.

The torture is not a main attraction. It doesn't go on and on. It is well written and it was not overly graphic but it was a necessary evil for the book. It helped us to really see what Georgie was thinking feeling and what her frame of mind and emotion was.

If you like spy books, books with great characters, or books where the H&h have to work around things to find their HEA, this should be on the top of your TBR list!

There were lots of surprises, twists and turns. It was action packed and that took the show even more than their relationship. That is saying something for me to say that. We all know how much I LOVE romance and relationships in books. Don't get me wrong, I liked it in this book as well, I just found myself immersed in the action a little more!

I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I thought Perfect Chaos was compelling, heart wrenching in parts, and utterly perfect in a chaotic sort of way. Perfect Ruin is the next book in this series and I am super excited to see what waits for us.

    1. I really liked the other series so I would say read it but it is not necessary to read it first.

You can easily enjoy this without reading the other series. The other characters from the series make a tiny appearance in this one but otherwise, you wouldn't know you missed anything at all. :-)
