I was that kind of girl. You know the one. I used my imagination to escape, not to create. I dreamt in black, lived in white. Like adding, multiplying, and dividing, the polka dots on my tights.

But I played her games; we made progress, then peace. She laid out her rules; I accept her limitations and boundaries. We were good, I made a plan, had a direction. I was surviving, making my way, minding my own business. But she wasn’t satisfied—blowing it all to hell. She wanted more, the whole chimichanga. That interfering bitch!

 

Layers is my first self-published series. I have a hard time categorizing my writing into one romance genre, so I made up my own—funuckery. 
I live in the USA, in the Pacific Northwest to be specific. Where everything is soggy, and covered with moss and slugs.

My Thoughts:

Okay so whew! I read all three of these beauties. I like the covers. What do you think?

They need to be read in order. They are each really hot, suspenseful, adrenaline spiking, secret laden reads. By themselves, each book is good. Read in sequence they total an adventure that is sure to grab ahold of you and keep you turning pages.

In book one, Layers, we meet our heroine, Alexia, and hero,Jaxson. Alexia has just come back from holiday and is thrust into the hot seat.She is great at her job. So great in fact, that she caught someone's error and is now being targeted because of it.

The boss, Jaxson, has it bad for her and is trying to save her.

Working close together brings them closer in other ways as the attraction between them is intense.

Things are not always as they seem though and secrets can ruin even the best of relationships.

It ends in a cliff hanger that gets resolved in the second book, More Layers.

The problems that they had in the first book boil down to listening to the wrong person and not communicating. Sometimes people really can mend a broken relationship.

They both have the best intentions but again, they are not the only players in their relationship.

Things happen due to others and their relationship is tested yet again.

In the last book, Beneath Layers, we find the finale to their story. There were many ups and downs through out all three books but especially in this one.

I found myself being emotionally affected a few times.

I had minor issues with Jaxson and Alexia a few times but overall, I liked their characters. I was very annoyed with certain circumstances. Also a certain other female person could have taken a long walk off of a short pier and I would have tried to do cartwheels. (Tried because I know my limits and I have never been capable of actually accomplishing that feat. :D )

If you like them complicated, suspenseful, and steamy, you should put these on your list or pick them up instead.
