In My Mailbox

This meme was created by The Story Siren.

I received for Review:

Paperback

Paperbacks that I bought:

Kindle books that I bought:

I am very upset about Stone Cold Revenge. I had the paperback format pre-ordered from Amazon for along time. One day the publisher canceled and decided to no longer offer the book in that format. I have the first book in that series in paperback so I'm really unhappy. I like to keep books of a series together. I waited and waited to see if they would offer it again and they haven't I'm tired of waiting to read it so here I am giving in and buying the Kindle version. I will scream if they end up offering it later.

Did you notice that most of them are shifter books?

What did you get recently or what are you reading?

  1. i understand too well, i hate when a series start in print then stop or when the format change ( paperback then suddenly hardback without the first books existing in that format)

    2. Most of the people involved in the book process (authors, editors, publishers, etc) are readers themselves. Why they do these things I will never understand!

I'm sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well. I will just have to read for the both of us! By the time you are ready to read again, I'll have a slew of books to recommend! :D

  2. +JMJ+

That's too bad about Stone Cold Revenge. =( I also want all the books in a series I'm collecting to be in a particular format. So if I get one in paperback, then I won't buy a hardbound copy of the next one. It really drives me nuts when publishers totally redesign covers in the middle of a series, so that those who have been faithfully following it from the beginning end up having their collections ruined. =(

Right now, I'm supposed to be rereading a YA classic with some friends, but we can't seem to decide on a title! =P Typical . . . LOL!

    1. I think they should consider the buyers a little more often. I don't understand why they do the things they do.

  3. Even though I have a NOOK, I still prefer print and I also like to keep my series books in one format. Some of my favorites (Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series and Christine Feehan's Carpathian series) I will only buy in print. Unfortunately some books are not always available in print. It seems that more and more books are only being offered in digital format.

    1. I prefer print always! Unfortunately, you are right. I have many many books on my wishlist that have never been offered in print. I have no problem paying $3 or less for an ebook but I can't make myself spend more than $4 on a digital book. If I am spending more than that then I want to be able to physically hold it in my hand.

  4. You know I actually just bought Feral Sins last night! Thats too funny! I hate when publishers do that! or when all the books are in paperback and then all of a sudden they start coming out in hardback or vise versa. But Im the same if I have a series in print, I want all of it in print.
