Review ~ Clay's Quest By Christi Williams with giveaway

Synopsis –

She’ll do anything to get her way.

Tall, elegant and beautiful, Emma Thorpe has wanted a baby for years. The yearning for a child occupies all her thought, her time, her effort, and any money she and her husband can scrape up for medical intervention. After trying and failing to conceive, the solution that finally comes to her is to leave her husband and hope to find a man—any man—capable of fulfilling her deepest desire.

Big, handsome Clay Thorpe isn’t the kind of man to let his wife just wander away. It takes a few months of Emma’s absence from his bed to devise a plan, but he’s determined. Eventually, Clay lures Emma home with a convoluted strategy only he could concoct, involving an antique diamond ring, sex three times a day, and...a turkey baster?

Caution: This is a work of fiction. Please don’t attempt duplicating Clay’s methods!

My Thoughts:

This book different. Clay is set on getting his wife back in his life and in his bed where she belongs. He has a plan and failure is not an option.

Emma is tired of listening to her clock tick. She wants a baby and is determined to get one no matter what she has to do.

Emma thinks that Clay is ready to move on and that scares her into action. Both of them have been miserable apart. However she is ashamed because it is her fault that they were apart.

Clay's plan is equal parts sweet, caring, commanding, controlling, clinical, and bizarre. I won't tell you any details but at one point, he breaks out the kitchen gadgetry. ;-)

This was a quick read including a determined husband with a plan, a suspicious wife, jewelery, scheduled romps, and romance.

I really liked Clay's character. He was loyal, caring and way too understanding. :-)

I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Honestly, Clay's Quest was fast and hot. This book should only be read by adults!

    1. She felt that she had her reasons. In her defense, she didn't cheat or anything. She just made a mistake.

    2. People get desperate sometimes. I don't like that she left him because she couldn't get pregnant but sometimes people mess up.
