Giveaway & Review ~ Vanilla Twist by C.J. Ellisson

Heather thinks she has it all—an interesting lover, a dream job, and a new wardrobe to match her take-charge attitude. But everyone has a past, and when Heather confronts hers at work she’ll be hard-pressed to hold onto her new found confidence and resolve. Does she trust Tony enough to let him help her or will she tackle the issue on her own?

Still intrigued by the young woman and the multiple layers she presents to the world, Tony begins to change his life, too—for what he hopes is the better. He quit his high-powered career to find peace in a less stressful day-to-day existence. Desire for Heather still invades his every waking moment, and when trouble threatens their sexual explorations he makes the hardest choice of his life. One he may soon regret.

My Thoughts:

You can see my reviews for Vanilla on Top (book 1) and Avoiding Mr. Right (book 2).

All of these books are for adult eyes only because they are so very hot that they make you melt!

You could read Vanilla Twist without reading the previous books but I would suggest that you don't. This book is the third book in the Walk On The Wild Side series. Although there is a book in between this and the first one, Vanilla on Top, both of them focus on the same characters. The second book has a different focus.

I really liked Vanilla on Top and was a tad disappointed when I found out that Avoiding Mr.Right, book two didn't focus on Heather and Tony. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but I was waiting for more of Heather and Tony and was left wanting because it was about Carla instead.

I was so excited to find out that the focus was back on Heather and Tony for this book! I can't even tell you how happy that made me. :-)

I love both of these characters but Tony is just soooo sweet. Unless your name is Portia! ;-)

In Vanilla Twist, the book picks up where VOT left off. Heather and Tony are still together and are trying to figure out their relationship. Tony is happy and sated and while Heather is too, she keeps second guessing things because of her past heart breaks.

These two are awesome together and anyone reading these adult only books, will easily tell that vanilla is far from boring! Yowzaaa!

I like how C.J. added just enough turmoil for these two to muddle through. Even through the dramatic parts, you could "feel" what the characters felt for each other. The emotions were all there. Heather and Tony both had things from their past come back to "bite" them and this book was spent dealing with those issues and each other.

I am soooo eager for their next book which I believe will be Vanilla Spice! I can't get enough of these two.

If you read these books, you'll be addicted too. Oh but what a sweet addiction! ;-)

I received an ebook from the author in exchange for my honest opinion. This book was on the short side where words are concerned but sooo sweet and steamy, and the character's have such big personalities that it made up for it. I hunger for more of this Vanilla because it is just that darn good!

  2. CJ never ceases to help me completely escape fully from a daily routine of stress and pushing through chronic pain with her great writing and this is no exception. Once again I get lost in the story and how much she brings the characters to life. You fine yourself right there with them going through the emotions and unable to put the book down and always leaves you eagely anticipating the next part of their story! Hot, exciting on edge.. You laugh you cry you find yourself rooting on your fav characters and just can't ever get enough. You are the best CJ! Can't wait for the next... Again!
