Meet the Author:

Ahren spent her formative years living in an active volcano. There her family made collectible lava art. She studied rock collecting at the Sorbonne in France. There she met the love of her life-her pet pig Sybil. She returned to the states and started writing. She is happily married to a guy who used to live under a bridge and she met while pole-dancing. They have one amazing daughter.

Now, meet the real me. I grew up in the south and consider myself a true “Southerner”.Most of the special locations mentioned in my books are reflections of my favorite places. Living on the Florida coast, my family spends a lot time at the beach which is where I usually can be found with a book in my hand.I started writing my Surrender Series, in the spring of 2013 and have received incredible support from the Indie community.Throughout this year, I have been privileged to meet some amazing people that I am thankful to have in my life.

My Thoughts:

This book was sweet yet sassy. This is a tale of second chance love that should have never been broken in the first place.

Reed is your typical Alpha male football player but more. I love my husband but if Reed gave lessons my hubby would be taking them. He knows how to treat a woman when she means everything to him. Yes he messed up once upon a time, but that is a whole different paragraph.

Once, when Reed and Ari were in college there were circumstances that were less than ideal and not of their own making. I will not be a spoil sport and say anything more. However, Reed, being a typical male who's pride was hurting, hurt Ari very badly and severed their relationship beyond repair.

Ari, had priorities of her own and though she was inconsolable and deeply scarred, she moved on with her life with the help of her two besties and her Grandma.

Years later, Reed is recovering from an injury and sees Ari at the beach. One thing leads to another, and they get back together. It is not smooth sailing as the same forces that conspired against them before are still at work.

Reed's Reckoning had great characters, an interesting plot with some twists that I NEVER seen coming, compassion, love, sweetness, cavemanisms, selflessness, super hot sex, deception, devotion, alcohol, and lots of foul language.

Actually the foul language is the ONLY thing that I would change. I read the word pu**y more in this book than I've probably heard it in the last three years. It is one of my least favorite words so I could have went without it.

Other than the language snafu, I thought this book was endearing, emotional, energetic, sexy, sweet, and ravishing. I really, really, really liked it! I hope to read more from this author. :-) I received an ecopy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion.
