Blurb

From award-winning author Liz Talley comes a tale of sexy secrets and starting over. Lola McInnis has hit rock bottom after catching her fiancé cheating with his personal trainer. In a desperate attempt to make a fresh start, she sinks the last of her savings into renovating two houses in an up-and-coming Atlanta neighborhood, but the project hits the skids when her contractor bails.

Enter Van Kane, burned out drummer for the red-hot rock band Ten Addict. Van has no business pretending to be a contractor, but the idea of getting back to a simpler life and getting his hands dirty with the luscious Lola has him volunteering to help.

It’s not long before the two of them end up between the sheets; but can Lola keep her heart out of the equation? And how long will Van be able to keep his rock-and-roll life a secret?

 Author Info

After being selected as a finalist for the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart Award in Regency romance, Liz found a home writing sassy contemporary romance. Her first book—Vegas Two-Step—starred a spinster librarian and debuted in June 2010. Since that time, Liz has published ten more books with Harlequin Superromance. Her stories are set in the South, where the tea is sweet, the summers are hot, and the men are hotter. Liz lives in North Louisiana with her childhood sweetheart, two handsome children, and assorted pets. Liz loves doing laundry, paying bills, and creating masterful dinners for her family. She also lies in her bio to make herself look like the perfect wife. What she really likes is pretty shoes, lemon drop martinis, fishing off the pier, and ignoring the sink full of dirty dishes.

My Thoughts:

At only 76 pages there was a surprisingly good amount of story! This was a hot one, have no doubt!

Van aka Donovan is soul searching, trying to put meaning back into his life and feel again. He just doesn't know where to begin.

Lola is trying to put her life back together after being cheated on by her fiance. She decides to put her all into her career. She gets a great deal on two houses that sit side by side and her brother and his friend are helping to re-do them until they both get called away by other things. This leaves poor Lola in the lurch.

As she tries to talk sense into her brother via the phone at a coffee shop, Donovan happens to hear her.

So begins their story. Hotter In Atlanta has desperation, deception, heat, music, romance, building supplies, wild abandon, hurt, and love in the midst of the pages.

This is a very quick read that will have you wanting more, not because it leaves off mid story (it doesn't!) but because it is that good. I really really really hope that Liz might make this into a series?????

Obviously I recommend this one to those of you who like quickies. ;-)

I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I thought it was super!

  2. Just wanted to pop by and say thanks for hosting this blurb tour and for giving a review. I like the term "quickie" and I'll be using that one :) Most of my books are long books, so it was nice to do something short and sexy. Thanks again!

  4. Sounds good I like quickies if they are reasonably priced. Too much for too little even if it well written annoys me.

    1. I feel the same way. Even the longer ebooks are often over priced. If I can't hold it in my hand then I don't want to pay more than $4 for it!

    2. Definitely agree with that. I'm waiting to see if this will shoot down to like .99cents. I'm not sure I want to pay $2 for 76pages.
