I know what you did last summer.
Aubree Walker, the perfect girl most likely to succeed, is sure there’s only one person who knows what she did.
Booker Outlaw, one of the three Outlaw brothers—all identical, all gorgeous, all from the wrong side of the tracks, and all pure bad boys. He was always the unpredictable one, the one who would be brash enough to make it big self-publishing horror novels on the internet. He promised never to tell, but everyone knows you can never trust an Outlaw.
Then a year later, in the middle of the night, she receives a phone call at Tulane. Her aunt, who took her in after her mother’s death, has passed away under suspicious circumstances. Now she has to face that one person who knows all about what she did that summer—sexy Booker.
Returning to Hope Parish to lay her beloved aunt to rest, stirs up all those ugly memories. When Aubree starts getting threats, she can’t help but wonder if what she did last summer was tied to her aunt’s death. Afraid, she turns to the only person who knows the truth and Booker doesn’t hesitate to offer his broad shoulder for her to lean on. But Booker has a secret of his own that could crush their fledgling relationship.
As the hot, sultry summer days move on, she finds that even a perfectly smart girl can lose her heart to a perfectly bad boy. What is she going to do when someone starts asking questions Aubree doesn’t want to answer? She’s knee deep into a terribly dangerous, wholly life changing, who-can-she-really-depend-on perfect mess.

I like it. Though she seems a little worn down on the cover but that would make sense since shes dealing with some drama in her life. I may have to remember this one when it comes out. :)
ReplyDeleteyes she seems quite beat up on the cover.... but having a really heavy secret can have that effect.... not really a book that i want to add on my wish list so far but perhaps later
ReplyDeleteIf i end up reading it I'll let you know if it is worth reading.
Deleteoki i count on you
DeleteThats if I remember to get it and stuff! Wow pressure Miki! LOL :)
Deleteoh don't worry you know you can tell me that in one year i won't mind at all , i have several i really want first and other i'm more than interested in so i have time
DeleteWe do have so many. :) I did find Storm Force last night. I wasnt sure which device I had it on so it took some searching but I pulled it up. Im going to finish a few of the others I started then read that one. :)
Delete^^ i trust you don't worry and after storm force, Hunted ( but please no at teh same time... really you will see why i'm telling you that after you have read both)
DeleteLOL ok :) I still havent bought hunted. She sent me the Wedding Bell Blues one. So I'll have to grab it when I finish this one.
Deleteoh then you have a little time don't worry... in fact you would perhaps have enough just with the first chapter excerpt to understand what i though^^
Deleteenjoy storm force!
I will check it out. :) Im curious now as to what your talking about so I may put a book im reading on hold to start this one.
Delete^^you can finish what you started don't worry ( and the suspens is important in iit so once started you wouldn't want to stop so better have room for that time^^)
Deleteok I'll make sure I that I dont have any plans when I start it. :) I also have the first in her Penton series to start.
Deletestorm force is the spin off of the Penton legacy but i can be read without having read the series, it's really a perefct stand alone ( though i do want more book in that series^^ i'm fond of archer^^)
DeleteOk so it doesnt matter what order I read them in then?
DeleteStorm force can be read independently yes no problem at all ( without reading penton, before or after as you wish); but the book in the penton legacy series those must absolutely be read in order since you have a red line, major investigation taking place along teh series
DeletePenton is with vampire, storm force with shifter you will get some links between the two but really so far it works as independant reads
Ok cool. I planned to read the Penton in order but I didnt know if it was one of those I should wait to read Storm Force or whatnot. :)
Delete^^ you are really free to decide if you want to read penton serie sfirst or storm force^^
Deletethat's part of thing i love with this author she always try to offer us the opportinity to start with any book when possible ( now with the sentinel of new orleans you can start by book 1 or two but for book 3 you need to have read those before so i guess book 4and 5 will be the same)
I prefer to read stuff in order anyways. :) I just was wondering since you said that they were connected.
Deleteloosely connected....
DeleteOk :) I wont worry then about having to read them all at once.
Deleteno you can wait after stom force but once you start Penton i think you will be so immersed in teh story that you will want to read next book quickly
DeleteI will have to get them then! :) I know I was waiting to read the first before I bought more but I trust you on it so I'll add them to my cart for when I get my next amazon order. I still have some giftcards on there that I've been saving up.
Deleteyou know you can wait after all you have the chance to get your amazon order quickly ( i need to wait at least oen month so i must prepare) you can read the one then order the next ones after all you could win them too or you can check my review first to be sure ( i review all of them so far )
DeleteI will definitely have to read those. But I actually was planning on getting them all eventually anyways. Another friend of mine told me about them and loved them. Thats when I got the first. I just hadnt read it yet and figured I'd get the others later. :) But I'll probably just get book 2 and go from there. Im in no rush though. I have plenty of stuff to read.
