Review and Giveaway ~ Hidden Agenda by Laurie Larsen

BLURB:

Can love survive when secrecy is the hidden agenda? A sizzling tale of a millionaire businessman and an ambitious, beautiful advertising executive, and the little girl at the center of a long-held secret that draws the two of them together, but could ultimately tear them apart.

Purchase it from Amazon.

Here's an excerpt:

She raised her hand to his chest, feeling the solid heartbeat that proved to her that this was a living, breathing man with needs and desires. Not just a legendary businessman, not just her firm’s newest client, but a man. At this moment, he was the man who made her yearn to fulfill her basest needs. She pulled him closer.

She ran a hand over his shoulder, plunging it into his hair. It was full and thick, but soft. She tugged on a strand and thrilled at the gasp she pulled from him, even as he pursued their kiss, refusing to break contact.

What other mysteries could be solved about this man? This man who’d changed her life already, this man who invaded her thoughts. She ran her hand across his cheek. His face was clean-shaven and warm and she rubbed her fingers over the faint stubble, exploring the surface of his face.

As he moved his tongue into her mouth she felt it two ways – her hand felt it as his mouth opened wider to make its delicious assault, and then … she came to her senses.

She gasped as the implications came crashing down on her. She was standing on the dance floor with Grant, getting kissed like she’d never been kissed in her life. And with her participation, she had encouraged him – invited him – to proceed. At a business dinner!

Impulse took charge. She ripped her lips from his and jerked herself out of his grasp. She avoided his gaze and not knowing what else to do, she turned and ran away, across the floor, out of the ballroom.

My Thoughts:

I love the cover. ;-) That is what called me to read this one.

This book was over too quickly for my taste! It was pretty good. Hidden Agenda was a book about exactly that. There was a man with a huge secret, a woman who works hard to be a successful, single, working mom, a heaping helping of sizzle, and a cute well mannered little girl.

I really liked this story. It had my interest immediately and kept me turning pages until the end.

The only thing it lacked was more pages. The ending, while one I cheered, felt just a little rushed.

I recommend this book to those of you looking for a quick romantic read with a plot.

I received a ecopy of this book from Goddess Fish in exchange for my honest opinion. Honestly, I liked it. :-)

    14. I used to get so angry when I was working when people would just toss the books aside. Or I'd see them bending them or whatnot. I will totally admit to being rude to them if I had to ring them because they had just no respect. Once there at your house feel free to do what you want but in a bookstore when there not yours. That was a huge pet peeve of mine.
