Book Description:
Life raising a hellhound is no easy task. Unforeseen problems can and will arise at every turn. If things weren't crazy enough juggling a job, a blind dating a vampire and being stalked by a demon, then life in Paradise is about to get a whole lot worse for Summer when her landlord demands she unearth the RAT or the BROOM will have her head.
What does that even mean? Is the landlord insane? Summer's best friend Tori thinks so. Top it off with a visit from a fallen angel, a dragon, and Summer's got herself a whopper of a mystery to solve.
T. Lynne Tolles can be found most days, juggling one of two cat muses and a laptop, tripping over an ancient Newfoundland dog and washing a never-ending pile of laundry. When life doesn’t get in the way, she writes paranormal romances for new adults.
Her passion for witches, ghosts, and vampires together with a light-hearted wit are reflected in her loveable characters and the adventures of mystery they unravel to find their happily ever after.

My Thoughts:
This was a great beginning for a new series. There were so many supernatural creatures that I was in Heaven!
There was an underlying twist to the plot which really gets uncovered at the end. Don't worry, it wasn't a cliff hanger, just a great way to set up the next book (which I really want to read).
There was a smidgen of romance (I look for more in the next book!), a sprinkling of suspense, a pinch of humor, and a dash of action. The plot that will grab your attention from the start and not let go until the last word.
The characters were really quirky, zany, and or extremely lovable. Ms. Midnight was a special treat. ;-) I laughed quite frequently when she was involved!
I read this fairly quickly and I will be waiting for the next book to find out more about Summer, our heroine, her long lost family, and all of the beings that have become important to her.
Summer had a handful of guys circling her. I'm not sure who I'm rooting for yet because I liked them all. There is Jackson, Daniel, and Hunter. Each of them are a different being but I'm not telling you who is what.
The most exciting action was a kiss so if you are looking for steam pass this one by. However, if you want a fun, likable read with supes in spades, look no further. This book's for you! I recommend reading this one.
I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. It was a a splendid book, mostly light hearted and fun.

High all...Just back from AAD in Charlotte and still a little off my game, but wanted to make sure I stopped by and thanked Crazy Four Books for this stop on the book tour! Finding Midnight (paperbacks) almost sold out at the show and got a very good response from all. Everyone loved the cover, which is always a good sign, however, I can't take the credit. Jennifer Meyer was the amazing artist that drew the artwork for me from scratch. I've been in contact with her to do the cover for the next books in the The Hellhound Tails.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for supporting me and CrazyFourBooks by stopping by. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteoo definitely! The blurb caught my eye and your review makes me want it even more! :) I love ones that are filled with all different kinds of creatures. They make for the most fun of reads.
ReplyDeletetoo good to resist^^
Deleteyes it is!
DeleteWhat an interesting and amusing book! I wonder what is involved in raising a hellhound. The cover is lovely and having the same artist design covers for the other books in the series is a great idea. I have added Finding Midnight to my TBR list. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHellhounds always make me think of Christopher Moore's A Dirty Job. It was hysterical and he had "pet" hellhounds.
Deletei'm thinking about the series by kelly gay "the better part of darkness"^^ i'm not sure it was the first time i read about a hellhound but it was one of the fuinnier
DeleteI've read one by her but it wasn't that one. I'll definitely check it out.
DeleteThis sounds like a fun read. I will keep it in mind
