They lose their wives to death with no hope of reuniting. Yet they continue to accept others for whatever time they have together. Save for Cole. His love for his last wife still burns in his soul four centuries after her death.

When the service they render to the noblemen of Cornerstone Deep brings him face to face with Anna, something unexpected happens. In a realm of silent souls, hers calls to him. He responds with a kiss—one that joined with the spell of servitude she inhaled, binds her soul.

Breaking ancient covenants, angering the lords, and bringing the gods' wrath upon him, Cole tries desperately to undo his wrong and free his love—despite the determination of the nobleman to keep her.

  1. That's a tough question because I guess I have been raised to believe you only get one shot so you gotta make it a worthy life. However, the hopeless dreamer in me would love to think that reincarnation is possible. Especially in the "through time soul mates" scenario...

  4. It's true the cover are really eyes catching they made me want to discovers more. and the excerpts oh...yes i wouldn't mind reading those. The courage they need to be able to go on after so many suffering and loses...i don't envy then

do i believe in reincarnation... perhaps a part of me do especillay it it means being able to be reunited ( or find) the right person only made for us. On teh same time i would be a little afraid....because starting again and again means also no rest so i guess i would prefer to have the choice.

    1. Thanks, Miki. Now, that's an interesting addition, to have a choice. Makes me wonder if I'd remember the great times or the terrible times more when it's all over. Knowing me, I'd jump right back into the throng. But a serene, peaceful break would be wonderful. :)

So glad you stopped by and commented!

    3. Definitely an interesting thought. It seems to me that I read a book or saw a movie that allowed for a choice.... just looked it up and I think the movie I was thinking of was "Made in Heaven." Where the girl had never lived on earth and they had to choose to go to earth and hope to meet up again.

    4. Thanks for looking that up, Josette. I'll have to check it out. I haven't seen it.

No, I don't believe in reincarnation, BUT there was one time when I did. I was so convinced, in fact, that I tried to be a kind of "karmic detective" and try to figure out what kind of relationships I had had with friends and family in our past lives. LOL!

In the Romance world, I know that Jude Deveraux believes in reincarnation, and several of her novels explore that. (Interestingly, they are Contemporaries rather than Paranormals!) But my favourite "reincarnation romance" was written in the late nineteenth century by the eccentric British novelist Marie Corelli. I can barely remember the plot, but I recall feeling totally transported by the passion of her writing.

    1. Isn't it amazing how a story or author can touch us in such a way to have us remember years later how much we enjoyed it?

      Thanks for sharing, +JMJ+. :)

    1. Hi, Emily, it's nice to meet you here. It's okay if others believe or don't believe the same as you do, we're all unique. I enjoy reading about that too. And I love it when the story veers off the common track and introduces something new.

      Thanks for stopping by. :)

  7. I'm not a big believer in reincarnation but love to read stories about lovers who find their soul mates over life times. It's just a fun escape and always full of imagination.

  8. I guess with me, I don't discount anything. When there are so many societies that do believe in reincarnation, it makes me wonder if there is a grain of truth to it. However, I don't believe that I have been reincarnated... I feel like a young soul to me ;) How I wish I was wise with the deep down knowledge learned over lifetimes, but sadly, I stumble through life pretty sure this is the first time I've done this.

    1. Lol. I stumble through life too. But isn't that how we learn? Sure do hate those lessons sometimes. ;)

Thanks for sharing, Josette. It's nice to meet you.

    2. Yes, it is important to learn and every day someone or something in my life teaches me a new lesson. Especially my children. They have taught me so many things. They surely are amazing! But, yeah, sometimes these lessons can give you a hard kick.

Was nice to meet you as well Charlene. Good luck on the book.

  11. I believe that reincarnation is possible, though I don't think everyone should or does reincarnate. And I don't believe that we can really remember all our previous lives if we do reincarnate.

    1. Hi, Emily. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think I'm with you there on not everyone should reincarnate. Some should just be banned all together. Lol. Lord Dressen in the Cornerstone books being one of them. ;)

Thanks for stopping by and good luck in the drawings!

  12. I think it's entirely possible but I agree with Emily, I don't believe you can remember your previous lives and no everyone should not be able to reincarnate (that would be a disaster)
