Review ~ Silver-White by Shawn Underhill

“The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep.”

~ Robert Frost

Big time.

On an unexpected visit to her grandparents’ house in New Hampshire’s secluded North Woods, the sixteen-year-old literally runs into the truth of the long-hidden family secrets, and finds herself thrust without warning into the clandestine world of the Great North Pack—a wild and exhilarating world of rugged beauty, heart-pounding adventures, and long nights running under a sea of stars … but as she’s set to discover, a world also fraught with potential dangers lurking in the shadows.

My Thoughts:

Simply put, I liked it!  This is the beginning of a series about werewolves! This first book sets us up for what I'm sure is going to be a great YA series.

Evie is a great character and the book mostly focuses on her. She didn't know that people turned into wolves. At least not until it happened to her. Waking up naked in a flower bed was embarrassing enough, being found by her mother and not knowing how she got there was even worse.

I felt bad that Evie had been kept in the dark. I guess it was for her own good though! It was sad that her cousin was jealous and gave her attitude when she didn't even know what was going on.

The plot had running, dreams, secrets, action, wolves, cats, and more action!

I warn you, it ends in a cliff hanger! I have a feeling there are many more secrets to be uncovered. As with the last book I read, the only improvement that could be made would be to add some romance.

I recommend this to all of you who like werewolves, or YA paranormal books.

Bring on the next book, I am eager to find out what happened at the end of this book.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion. I honestly liked it a lot.

i'm really happy you enjoyed this book however since you start to know me you know that i will put this book on the "to wait list" because of teh cliffhanger^^ i prefer to know when there is one so i can mark the series and wait until it's finished or at least until there are more book before reading them together.

  2. Between your review and the giveaway post, I have decided to go ahead and purchase this book. It will most likely wait for a bit on the TBR shelf, but I'm really interested in the story that you introduced in your review.

    Thanks for sharing your review.

    2. I'm with you, I'm not a fan of cliffies at the ends of books, so I won't read usually till I know there's another book.
