Book Blast and Giveaway ~ Silver-White by Shawn Underhill
by Shawn Underhill
“The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep.”
~ Robert Frost
*Evie’s family has been holding out on her …
On an unexpected visit to her grandparents’ house in New Hampshire’s secluded North Woods, the sixteen-year-old literally runs into the truth of the long-hidden family secrets, and finds herself thrust without warning into the clandestine world of the Great North Pack—a wild and exhilarating world of rugged beauty, heart-pounding adventures, and long nights running under a sea of stars … but as she’s set to discover, a world also fraught with potential dangers lurking in the shadows.
"Simply put, this book was amazing. I've read more fantasy novels than than I can count, but this one is certainly one of the best. The heroine isn't some wishy-washy pansy that screams at everything, and the focus of the story isn't on some unbelievably beautiful teenage girl who suddenly becomes the biggest, baddest member of her species falling in love with some big, bad, sexy member of her newfound species. It's about a girl becoming something she never knew existed, finding her place within the pack family she values more than ever before, and an age-old feud that threatens everything she loves." ~Morgan

the cover is cute and fitting for a fantasy book and like in teh praize i must admit i like heroine who know what they want ^^ReplyDelete
I think the cover is awesome. It really caught my eye!Delete
the power of the wolf has that effect on me ^^ it's one design i stil can't do but i'm working on it ^^ ( werewolf love what can i say^^;;)Delete
I know all about Werewolf love. I have the same affliction.Delete
What I like about the cover is that it has a lot of elements from different faerie tales in it. What I'm not so sure about is the heroine's sexy pose. She's still supposed to be a teenager, so I kind of wish she were wearing a dress instead of just a sheet!
I thought that at first too. After reading the book, I descovered that it is actually a towel and it depicts a scene in the book!Delete
Oh! Well, that makes more sense. I'm glad the cover isn't just random art. =)
I love the cover, it's so pretty yet very informative about what the book is about.ReplyDelete
I agree. It is more informative than you know. :-)Delete
Thanks for participating in the book blast! This book sounds good.ReplyDelete
The cover is interesting. Love the fact that the wolf comes into focus in the mirror. And the red head in the sheet has a subtle sexiness, not overdone. Overall good cover and goes great with the book blurb.
I think it's awesome. The cover and the blurb. :DDelete
The cover is totally AWESOME. I am a very visual person and this cover definitely grabs my attention. My interpretation between the blurb and the cover design is that the story is a sort of coming of age, finding your place, and discovering who you are. So, she looks into the mirror to see her real self, the wolf.ReplyDelete
You more or less have that nailed Josette!Delete
I agree with Josette above. And the cover is absolutely beautiful!ReplyDelete
I like the cover. Thanks for another great giveaway.ReplyDelete
I agree with everyone....this is a really cool cover!ReplyDelete
