June Wrap Up and July Comment Incentive

I don't know about you guys but my TBR list is out of control. Too many great reads and not enough time to read them! (Not that I'm complaining!)

We started our new meme in June and settled on calling it Reads and Feeds. :-)

I celebrated my anniversary and went camping with the family. :-) I want to thank everyone for their patience during my absence and Miki and Amber for picking up my slack. I ordered books for each of them to show my appreciation. I hope you both receive them soon! :-)

Oh I almost forgot, apparantly Google is doing away with GFC and Google Reader. Thank God I follow other more knowledgeable blogs because otherwise I wouldn't have known. lol! They mustnot know how to send emails. :-(

June Comment Incentive

I felt like adding some color. lol!

I wanted to tell you in advance, during the first two weeks of June, I may not be responding as much as I usually do. My children finish with school on June 6th. We have a tradition that on the last day of school, we pick them up at the bus stop and head to camp. Beacause this is meant to be quality family time, I won't be on the computer as much as usual. I'll probably only log on once or twice a day. I usually choose to do that when the boys go fishing. I don't go along because I am no help to them. I won't touch worms or fish and I am wary of being near that many people swinging hooks around.  This does not mean that your comments are not important to me or that I won't respond. It just might take me longer than usual to do so. I didn't want anyone to worry!

Although we don't actually go until the 6th. I am busy planning, shopping, and packing in reparation for our trip. Also, June 4th is a special day for me. :-) It is my 19th wedding anniversary!

I just wanted to apologize in advance if it takes me awhile to respond. Please don't let this stop you from commenting. The CIG will still be going strong.There are no changes this month! I may be entering some of the posts in advance though. I hope it doesn't cause too much confusion.

Surprise Surprise ~ Miki is our MVC again.

I've decided that because there seems to be absolutely no competition for Miki for the MVC, I am going to quit giving a prize for the MVC beginning with this month.  

The comment Incentive Giveaway will stay the way it is. There will be one winner and they will win their choice of book from those mentioned or featured in one of the May posts.

I must say that I am having even more issues with Rafflecopter. It appears that someone has hi-jacked my account or some other such nonsense. It will not let me log in and therefore I am using the other Giveaway form. I'm sorry to those of you who prefer Rafflecopter. In many ways I liked it better too. This is the closest I have found to it and beggars can't be choosy. Please bear with it.

That being said, I was unable to add yesterday's additional posts to the Rafflecopter. I've added them to the new Giveaway so that you get credit where credit is due!

January Meeting of the Minds!

January is almost over. Which means the Comment Incentive for January is also almost done.

For the most part, I felt that it went well. I most definitely had more comments than usual. Thank you guys! :-)

Just out of curiosity, did the Comment Incentive Giveaway prompt you to comment more, less, or did it not make a difference to you?

I think I will change one or two small insignificant things. For example, instead of adding all of the posts at the beginning of the month and having to rearrange impromptu posts, I'll add them as I post them.

I'd like to know what you think about it. 

Do you mind stopping by to answer questions regularly? I enjoy speaking with you but I don't want anyone to feel overwhelmed or like it is expected of you.

Just to revisit some of the finer points, if there are posts that you haven't already commented on this month, you can still do it and enter them in the Rafflecopter until midnight on February 1st. 

1.Each post will have it's own space on the Rafflecopter. Please do not post a comment on an old post and then enter it in the Rafflecopter! I will list them by post as well as date on the Rafflecopter to help lessen this confusion.

2.If you miss a post, you are welcome to go back and leave a comment later. The Rafflecopter will accept entries for each post until the end of the month. Please don't wait until the end of the month and comment on all of the posts at one time. That is not the purpose of this incentive and doing so will result in being removed from the giveaway!

3.Any comment counts but please be genuine when posting comments. It is more fun when we can interact with each other. If each of your comments are the same ~ this sounds good or nice interview, etc... it makes it hard to respond to you.  

4.A few posts will only have the 1 point for commenting and not the 3 point option for sharing. For example IMM (In My Mailbox) posts will only have the comment option. While I love sharing what I received, everyone in the Blogosphere probably doesn't care. This post is one of those posts. It is only relevant to those of you who take the time to read them. Most posts will continue to offer both options though!
