About the Author:

Michelle Graves is a self-proclaimed nomad, moving every two to three years with her husband the Army man, her beautiful daughter, and a fat tailless cat named Torri. When she is not writing away trying to purge her mind of yapping characters she can be found entertaining her daughter, attempting to craft (whilst trying not to injure herself with the glue gun), baking yummy treats, or reading. She admits to having a restless spirit and forces her family to go out on adventures whenever possible. They lovingly play along.

My Thoughts:

This series is going to be awesome. See How She Runs drew me in right away and kept my attention until the end.

Izzy has basically been lied to. Her memories were altered at a young age. The important people in her life are not really who she thinks they are. Everything spirals out of control after one impromptu meeting with a creepy man. Nothing in her life will ever be the same again.

My only complaints are that some parts felt slightly rushed, some could have been a little more detailed or fleshed out, and I would have liked to see more romance. What can I say? You know how I feel about romance. ;-)

There was lots of intrigue, suspense, and action. There was real promise between Izzy and Kennan. I hope we get more in the next book. I will be reading it for sure!

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a something different. It is not the usual urban fantasy. You'll find seers and guardians not witches, weres, and vamps. :-)

I received an ecopy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion. I thought it was really good.

RE Butler's LOVING LACHLYN BOOK BLAST ~ review and giveaway

For many years, mountain lion Alek Fallon believed he was fated to be alone forever. But after meeting Lachlyn, he knows that he’s found his mate in the sweet she-bear and opens his home to her and her second mate, were-bear Jericho. Lachlyn is a shifting dud and cannot transform into her bear self. When Jericho’s father tries to force her into her bear form using a cattle prod, she nearly dies. Jericho’s father swears to find them, and now Alek, Jericho, and the lion pride are working together to keep everyone safe. When the mountain lions’ enemy interferes, it’s not only Lachlyn’s life that is on the line, but all of theirs.

This book contains plenty of m/f/m loving, two men who will love their woman to the best of their ability, interfering female lions who don’t know when to give up, and a camper used as a honeymoon suite. Be prepared for growling, neck biting, ceremonial marking, and a lot of sweethearted male mountain lions who just want to find love.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

I always wanted to be a homebody and live in one place for my entire life, but fate had other plans. In the past twelve years of my married life, we’ve moved seven times, including from one coast to the other. Southern New Jersey is home now and I love it. I have two young children, a husband who begrudgingly pays for my ebook addiction, and two dogs that think they’re people. After college, I spent eight years as an executive assistant before “retiring” at twenty-seven to become a stay-at-home mom. I have a soft spot for self-published authors, Ghirardelli chocolate, muscle cars, and men with tattoos. Most people who know me don’t know I have a tattoo of a tiger on my hip or that I have an unhealthy obsession with The Simpsons.

I love sunsets, several cups of coffee in the morning, and I absolutely cannot live without books. When I’m not busy with my family, you’ll find me sitting at my desk working on any number of projects, including reading, reviewing, and writing.

My Thoughts:

Adults only! ;-)

Well, let me say that I read book one Seducing Samantha first. This book would stand alone easily though. This series is mainly focused on lion shifters with some were bears and humans, and a wolf shifter thrown into the mix as well.

In Seducing Samantha (book one) we meet Sam, a human music teacher at the elementary school. She's had a tough time and moved to try and get away from her ex. I love the way sweet little Ben decides to try and hook his Dad up. :-)

We meet many male lion shifters too. The males moved to Ashland to get away from the vile, uncaring female lions. The males take care of each other and live together in a boarding house. They all long to find a mate but most think it's a lost cause given the way the women of their species act.

In book two, Loving Lachlyn, Alek is a lonely lion who despairs because his brothers have found their mate, and his uncles too. Every one seems to be mating in pairs and he's alone. If he doesn't have another male to pair with how could he have a mate?

All good things come to those who wait. ;-)

While visiting a neighboring den of bear shifter friends he meets Lachlyn and Jericho, her mate. The soon realize that the three of them were meant to be in a tri-mating.

Things are never dull with the female lions making trouble. Add in a mean bear leader and things are doubly dangerous.

I really liked Seducing Samantha (book one) and I was happy to read Loving Lachlyn but I do have one itty bitty complaint. The characters and situations are repeated and that is a good thing if you haven't read book one. Having read that book, I found the repeating of the stats annoying and unnecessary, especially hearing that the female lions were cruel, heartless and uncaring. I got that after reading it the first two or three times.

That being said, I did like this book. I love how nurturing and sweet the lion males are. It is a nice change of pace to have the women being the uncaring ones instead.

So far, in both books the women (with the exception of Lisa) have two mates. If you are leary of m/m action, there's no need to worry. The men are brothers or consider themselves as such. Even so, there is lots of steam. These are very passionate beings. Grrrrrrrr ;-)

In addition to the steam, you'll find action, some drama, hunky, kind, and loving males, a wonderful sense of family between the characters, some danger, and of course romance. You'll get the whole enchilada!

If you like shifter stories, read Loving Lachlyn, and read Seducing Samantha too.

I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I really liked the set up for the next book. I can't wait to see what happens between Tristan, Micah, and Melody.

Also, if you missed it, check out my post about book six in R.E.'s wolf series and my interview with her here.

My Thoughts:

Sexy, Sexy! ;-) This book had a tad bit of historical feel to it but I really liked it.

This is another book meant only for a more mature audience brcause some of the scenes are scorching!

If you haven't already figured it out, this is a vampire book! Gerrod is a mastyr vampire who seems to be starvingwhether he feeds or not. He is in a perpetual state of hunger. That is until he meets Abigail.

Their attraction is mutual but it is unheard of  for a Mastyr vampire to mate with a human. No matter how much he wants her, Gerrod refuses to give in to his urges where Abigail is concerned.

Abigail sees things in Gerrod that no one else notices and she tries to take care of him. In doing so, she beginss a life altering process.

There is blood, battle, and bow chicka wow wow between the pages of Embrace The Dark. ;-)

I really, really, really liked this book.

I enjoyed the creative world that Caris created in this book. I liked the variety of supes too. In addition to vamps, you'll find fairies, trolls, elves, and evil wraiths! The only thing that seems to be missing (so far) is werewolves.

I was drawn in from the beginning and I read it in one sitting. There aren't too many pages but they're packed with plot.;-)

I'm excited to read more of this series. I especially want to see Ethan get a HEA. Oh and I have to say that I really liked Gus.

I received an ecopy of Embrace The Dark in exchange for my honest opinion. :-) It was fantastic!
