My review of North of Need by Laura Kaye

North of Need (Hearts of the Anemoi, #1)North of Need by Laura Kaye

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Overall, I really liked this book. I had a hard time with the believability in the beginning. I know it is made up but I still had a hard time with it! lol! I really am glad that I went back and finished.

The main characters are Megan Snow and Owen Winters. Megan is still struggling with guilt and sadness from her husband John's death two years prior. She is alone in their cabin and decides to make a snow man. While making this snowman, she breaks down and starts crying.

Owen appears the next day and the story continues from there. Owen is very sweet and has a way with words. Watching the relationship between him and Megan grow was my favorite part of this book. They are really good for each other and they are great together.

This book had alot of emotions written into it. It is easy to envision what Megan and Owen are feeling and feel as though we are going through it with them. The romance was equal parts sweet and hot!

I can not wait to read the next book in the series, West of Want.

I recommend this book to anyone wanting a good romance packed with emotions. It is an adult read!

I'd love to know what you're thinking. Please leave a comment!

  3. I really enjoyed this book too. I cannot imagine not just the emotions that go with losing a spouse, but to feel that I caused the death.

Great read! I'm eager for the next book too.
