Giveaway & Review ~ The Wilde One by Savannah Young

Synopsis:

THE WILDE ONE is the second novel in the spicy contemporary romance series about four sexy brothers, their small-town bar and their local country band. Each novel in the OLD TOWN COUNTRY ROMANCE series can be read as a STAND ALONE NOVEL or as part of the SERIES.

FOUR WILDE BROTHERS...ONE WILDE COUNTRY BAND

Tucker Wilde joined the United States Army right out of high school and was injured in Iraq. But more than just his leg was shattered in the Middle East. The war also crushed his spirit and damaged his soul. When a strange couple arrives at his family’s bar, Haymakers, Tucker can see signs of mental and emotional abuse and is immediately drawn to the lovely but fragile girl seated at his bar.

Gracie Parker has been a victim of abuse her entire life. When her boyfriend, Dex, beats her in the parking lot of Haymakers and abandons her, it’s almost too much for the nineteen-year-old to bear. That is until Tucker appears like a warrior knight from the darkness to save her.

Tucker and Gracie are two broken people who are immediately drawn together. But their relationship and even their very lives are threatened by Dex who will stop at nothing to get Gracie back.

If you like your trucks loud, your beer cold and your men hot...you'll love THE WILDE ONE.

My Thoughts:

This was the second book in the Old Town Country Romance series. This book could stand alone but I would read them in order. I really liked the first book.

The Wilde one focuses on Tucker Wilde. He was wounded in the service and most people treat him differently then they do his three brothers. I had a soft spot for Tucker in the last book and it grew even bigger in this book. He is so vulnerable and big hearted. I hate to see how others react to him.

He is working at the family bar when an obnoxious butt wad comes in draging a woman who looks to be under nourished. Tucker can't stand to see the woman being treated so badly. When the couple leaves, Tucker goes outside and sees the man abusing her and leaving her laying on the ground like garbage.

Tucker helps her and the two begin to get to know one another.

It was bittersweet but sad. Both of these characters were somewhat flawed and viewed themselves as unworthy of affection. Luckily they fit each other perfectly. Gracie was just what Tucker needed to feel whole again and the same could be said about him for her.

This book was sweet with some sad undertones. There was some danger, romance, flawed characters that bring out the best in each other, siblings, and music.

I love, love, love Tucker!

I recommend reading these books if you like siblings, small towns, and music in your romances.

I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I enjoyed it and I think you will too. :D

  3. I always like reading about "flawed" characters or people who may not always see them selves how they should. I always find it sweet when they do start to realize their worth.
I still have these on my list. I want to read them even more now. :)
