I was able to interview her and this is what she shared:
--Thank you so much for inviting me here today!
Out of all the books you've written, if you could live in one of them which would it be and why?
--Oh, that’s a tough one. I’m going to have to go with the Take a Chance series. I’d love to actually see all of these characters being all crazy and in love.
In what scenario do you do your best work?
--At my desk, in a silent room (minus my Pandora playlist), with a cup of coffee at my side.
What are you working on and when can we expect it to be out?
--I’m currently editing the fourth (and last!) Take a Chance book, TAKE ME. It’s due out very soon!
And I’m also putting the finishing touches on a Brazen with Entangled Publishing, which I think comes out next year.
Which books have been on your tbr shelf the longest?
--Oh, God. Let me look. Okay, I have a Harlequin romance I put on my Kindle…three years ago. I might have to get to that!
Paper or plastic?
--Plastic, or my own bags I try to remember to bring in.
What food can't you live without?
--Oh, steak. I love, love, love steak.
Inside or outside?
--inside, if there’s AC. But outside if it’s a nice day.
Ice cream in a cone or dish?
--Cone!
What is your favorite sport?
--I don’t really do sports, but I love watching my kids play basketball.
What is your favorite or least favorite veggie and fruit?
--I love strawberries the best, I’d have to say. As for least favorite fruit, it would be mango or papaya.
Favorite veggie—peppers or corn on the cob. Least favorite? Peas. I hate peas.
What is your favorite animal?
--Cats. I’m a cat person. But dogs are cute, too. I have one of each.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
--When people say they’re going to do something, and then don’t. I hate when people don’t follow through! LOL
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. :-)
Book Description:
Even the best-laid plans can go awry.
Single-mom Kiersten Worth knows a bottle of champagne and night of hot, no-strings-attached sex is the perfect solution to her jilted bride blues…and Garrett Kelly, long-time friend and her teenaged son’s sexy basketball coach, is just the stud for the job.
Garrett wants more from the elusive temptress than a casual affair, but he never expects it to come in the form of an unexpected pregnancy. When he proposes an unorthodox solution—move in and raise their baby together—Kiersten has to decide whether to let down her guard and open her heart to the man who secretly loved her for years, or risk losing his tender embrace for good.

My Thoughts:
This book was a quick read and I enjoyed it. I would only recommend it to adults as it was pretty steamy. :-) Play Me is book three in the Take a Chance series. I didn't read the first two books and I had no trouble reading it.
The main character, Kiersten, plays single parent to her nephew. She took responsibility for him when her sister died. She loves Chris, her nephew, with all that she has and is hurt twice as much when her fiance cheats on her and leaves them both.
On the day that would have been her wedding she is really lonely and allows Garrett her long time friend to comfort her as only he can.
He has always loved her and would like nothing more than to court her but she is afraid of being hurt again.
Is she protecting herself or hurting herself by denying them both a chance at a relationship?
I really liked Garrett and I was cheering for him the whole way through the book. :-)
If you like quick books with plenty of sizzle and an indecisive heroine, this one is for you.
I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I thought it was pretty darn good. :-)
this one sound really good and i can understand why she is afraid but yes Garett has all my votes^^ ( and i want teh fiance to regret really regrets what he did!! vengeance!)
ReplyDeletePaul, the fiance isn't really mentioned much so I'm not sure if he regrets it or not. I'd have liked to see some regret too though!
DeleteHe did her a favor. Garrett is who she should be with. ;-)
i agree she needed that to get with Garrett but still cheating on her like that when they have a stable relationship and letting her alone when she got so many responsabilities... he should suffer *karma vengeance*
DeleteGarett does seem perfect
Yea that is really awful. But definitely glad for Garrett! :)
DeleteThis does sound good. :) I will have to get the series. Im glad though that you dont have to read them in order.
