Explore a hidden world of erotic fantasies, where the greatest pleasures are stolen and the fiercest passions are untamed. . .
For years, Callie Taylor has been obsessed with two things: a man she can never have and escaping to Paris where she can follow her artistic passions. But everything changes when Callie meets Wes Thorne, a wealthy, mysterious art collector and famous dominant. Despite all the nights she’s spent dreaming of another man, it is Wes’s predatory gaze that suddenly consumes her every thought and sets her body on fire. One touch from him promises unforgettable passion, but Callie knows that passion often comes with a price…
From the moment he sets eyes on Callie, Wes is intrigued by her artistic talent and her delightful innocence of all things erotic. A stolen kiss leaves him aching and desperate to claim her in a way he’s never wanted any woman. But first he must convince her to surrender her control. And what better place to seduce an artistic soul like Callie’s than Paris?
Praise for the Surrender series:
"The Gilded Cuff is a dark, sensual tale that teases and tantalizes the senses. It's all about anticipation, seduction, and surrender. You will be every bit as enthralled with the story as Sophie is with Emery." - Give Me Books Blog
"From the very first page I was lost to the suspense, romance, thrills and chills of this intriguing story. In fact, I was so engrossed in the dramatic plot that I stayed up all night to finish the story. There was no way that I would be able to sleep without knowing how everything played out." - Sizzling Hot Books.com
"If you love a great mystery with a giant dose of steam and a beautiful love story, you will swoon over this novel!" - The Reading Cafe
My Thoughts:
All of the previous statements are more than accurate. This is the second book and I would strongly suggest reading them in order. I'm sure that you would be glad that you did, as book one sets the scenario and you would miss a lot by skipping it.
I really liked The Gilded Cuff, book one in the Surrender series. I reviewed it awhile ago and I have been waiting for this one. The Gilded Cage picked up right where book one left off.
This book focused on Fenn and Hayden. Just saying their names makes me blush. Naw, not quite but you get the gist. They had a very hot chemistry.
This book had plenty of suspense, sexy scenes including some tying and kink ;-) action and danger, plotting, romance and some tender moments too.
I am happy to say that this book was just as good as the first, maybe even a little better. It was definitely worth the wait but I really hope The Gilded Chain, book three, is available quicker. :-)
I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion. I was glued to my kindle with very few breaks. I probably wouldn't have taken any but I had to feed my hubby and the kids! Lauren has a way of pulling me in and wrapping me up in the words she writes. It is addictive, endearing, adrenaline spiking and super sexy. I am so ready for more! ;-)
If you like your books with plenty of sexy, a huge heaping of suspense, and characters that will work their way into your heart, this series is for you!

Synopsis:
Stolen from her family as an infant, Ana Darwin-Andrews
has to piece together her past and present. Her whole life is a lie. There’s
only one man she feels she can trust, but even he has secrets.
Kieran
Michaels keeps a tight lid on his past, but the Onyx Alpha knows his darkest
secrets. Kieran will stop at nothing to destroy the rogue before the past is
reveled. Ana can never discover his hands are as bloodstained as their enemy’s,
because life without her is not an option.
My Thoughts:
A Leopard's Path is part of the Ashwood Falls series though it can stand alone quite well. There were a few times that I would have liked to know more about certain situations that happened in previous books but I managed to read this just fine. It proved to be incentive to want to go back and read all the of the other books. ;-)
This book features Kieran a mysterious and seriously Alpha male and Ana a woman who is reeling from just learning that what she knew as truth for all of her life was lies. Ana was a very strong character yet she was written well. She came off as very real with many thoughts and feelings that anyone in that situation would be experiencing

The characters were compelling and easily grew on me as I said, I now need to go back and get up to date with the other characters. I can't wait to get more in depth with Sable, her mate, and Nigel her son.
The pace was steady with some really exciting parts thrown in to keep us on our toes. There was some suspense, drama, magic, action, a great family dynamic, shifters, and danger as well.
If you like shifters, you should visit Ashwood Falls. :D
I received an ecopy from Barclay Publishing in exchange for my honest opinion. I thought it was captivating. Reading it was an involuntary action as it was so irresistible that I couldn't walk away until I knew what would happen.

My Thoughts:
Tempting The Wolf was a quickie with only about 70 pages.
The heroine, Alanna was a werewolf and a tracker for her pack. She meets the hero and a human doctor, Bastian when her son is taken to the emergency room. Cody was shot and taken to the hospital. She had to go and get him out to keep the humans from learning about them. Normally it would have been an easier job to do but Bastian seems to be impervious to her power. She ends up taking him with her and Cody when they leave the hospital.
That is the beginning but there is more to this story. ;-)
If you like shifters, a strong heroine, and plenty of action along with romance, this is one you should read.
I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion. I enjoyed it and you will too.
