Book Description:
Aurelia Fridell is a freak. The only werewolf who can't shift.
As her thirtieth birthday approaches, isolation creeps in, and worry settles in her gut. She accepted her status long ago, and yet lately, she's felt off-kilter. Eyes follow her, prickling her senses, and her headaches are getting worse.
Is she paranoid, or is someone, or something, stalking her? Watching. Waiting. Drumming fingers to a sinister beat she can't hear.
Time will tell.
Ceithin Starkley isn't looking for a mate. Especially now. In fact, he doesn't believe in true-matings at all.
While he is being recruited for a new job, a scent on the wind stuns him, and he finds himself fighting an inner battle he never wanted, yet can't ignore.
Sparks fly, as Ceithin and Aurelia fight fate, and race against a clock neither knows is ticking.
Will he claim Aurelia before he loses her?
Warning: This book contains a drool-worthy Alpha male, and a sassy heroine with brains and brothers you'll adore. A best friend every girl would love to have, and a terrifying road no one will see coming

About the Author:
I'm a work in progress who adores dark chocolate, the fresh mountain air, and the sound of rushing rivers.
I enjoy the salted breeze from the ocean, and the warmth of the sun heating my body as I sit on the rocks listening to the waves and gulls. Just thinking.
My mind is a chaotic mixture of realism and dreams, tempered by my four spirited children and creative husband.
I'm a multi-genre author at the whim of my erratic muse. I'm a yoga enthusiast, natural food lover, and I love body art.

My Thoughts:
This book was a little slow at the beginning but it picked up pace and by the middle it was moving pretty quickly. I think that part of the slow pace was character description and setting up the series. It was mostly necessary. The author was a little more descriptive than most and I both enjoyed the extra knowledge and found it annoying. LOL! Sometimes with me you just can't win.
Anyway, from about 20% into the book, I was hooked. The characters were enjoyable, the plot was entertaining and though containing werewolves, still unique which is no small feat!
Aurelia is labeled a freak because she can't shift even though her twin and all of her siblings can. Weird things start happening to her. By the end of the book there are so many twists, turns, and surprises that you, like me, will be panting for the next book!
The men are all hot and I can't wait for her brothers to fall HARD! :P
I thought this was a terrific beginning to another great werewolf series. I recommend it to all of you who like the Alpha males. ;-)
I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I thought it was fantastic! Fractured moon was exciting, charming, sweet, hot, and suspenseful. I am eager for Aurelia's next adventure!

Hi Miki - The paperback just went live on createspace, and should be on amazon (shortly, usually takes a few days) As for a pdf, fractured moon should be at all romance bookstore this week. Thank you!
DeleteFor the brothers - Ville and Ilmari have short stories written, they'll probably end up as novella's. Akseli is already mated and Ro isn't talking to me!
Thank you a lot for all these informations!
DeleteI'm the same way with some books. We're the author just can't win. LOL This sounds great though. You know me and loving alpha males. Specially weres. :D
ReplyDelete^^ we can be picky at time but we makes up for the love we share after ^^
DeleteThank you for taking the time to read Fractured Moon, I appreciate it so much. Also, thanks for participating in my tour. You'll be happy to know book two starts RIGHT in with action. =) No waiting. You're right, book one's slower pace in the beginning was necessary, but now that Aura is as she should be, events will pick up. (Trying to be spoiler free here)
ReplyDeleteI tried to be spoiler free as well. I didn't give anything away except for how much I liked your book. ;-)
DeleteThe slower pace is a common factor for first books in a series. I am no stranger to this concept and even though it started slow, you did a terrific job picking up the pace so I have no fear that book two will be paced just fine.
Please let us know when it will be out. I'd be happy to spread the word. :-)
Thanks for letting us know! And when starting a series all the info is important even if it slows that pace down. It makes up for it in the end. :)
DeleteDefinitively we need information and it's better to have most in book one but from Brenda review we see that you managed to balance it well so i have no worry at all
Deleteand like Brenda says yes please let us know when the other installment releases we would be delighted to know^^
thank you a lot for coming to exchange with us
