This is an adult book. The main characters are Sharon (hence the title of the book) and Liken. Sharon is a shy librarian who took a vow when she was in school to do her duty if she was called upon. The odds of actually being called on was about 20,000 to 1. She thought she could live with those odds.
She is one of the rare people called on. Her duty is to go to Shimeria with Liken and give him three weeks to prove that they are compatible. She has a choice between seduction, challenge, and capture as the ways that he can convince her. Obviously she chooses seduction.
I enjoyed this book. Sharon tries really hard to keep her distance between her and Liken but in the end she succumbs to his charms.
If you like the Brides of Kindred series by Evangeline Anderson. Then you would like this book.
